On Monday, the Spanish Ambassador, Silvia Corte’s visited the front line. To gauge what life is like for those living in the conflict zone, she talked to Ukrainian military and civilians in the Luhansk region. Ambassador said “You [Ukraine] is defending its position well. Separatists in your country are getting help from another country, which is very powerful… Conflict has created enormous human and material damage, especially to children and elderly and seen many internally displaced persons. …you have had to cope with probably one of the biggest crisis your country has had to face.”
