Front line Update: After Wed/Thurs calm, Ukrainian military today report Russian led attacks have resumed. Using mortars and small arms, over the last 24 hours, four attacks were launched. Thankfully no military casualties, but the continued trauma of men, women & children living in the Donbas continues.
Although due to deliberate targeting of them, Ukrainian soldiers are still dying and being wounded, the intensity of fighting is still less than earlier in the year. We can but hope, things to not escalate back to routine tit for tat heavy fighting.
Yesterday, Russia’s puppet state in Donetsk talked about introducing an Easter Truce, which may “contribute to strengthening stability in the region…” Welcome news, but I do hope they’ve told the Russian army in Ukraine about it.
