Good video by UATV covering the enforced suffering of elderly Ukrainians. Currently, there are around 1.3 million pensioners in Russian occupied Ukraine, with many living in front line towns and villages.
To gain access to their state pension payments, they are forced to make the dangerous and long journey into Government held territory. On both sides of the line they endure long cues, the ever present danger from fighting and the wasteful financial expense of travelling back and forth.
Pictures show the front line crossing point at Stanytsia Luhanska. The blown bridge has been replaced by flimsy and hazardous wooden ramps.
