Sorry, but I’m posting rather a lot of grim news today, but sadly there’s rather a lot of it about.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine, has posted a “Humanitarian Snapshot.” Thus far, April has proved to be the deadliest month for civilian casualties in Ukraine. A total of 46 casualties, including 13 deaths. Indicating the day-to-day dangers of living in a war zone, 15 of those casualties were caused by mines and unexploded ordnance.

Wash incidents relate to on-going problems with water supplies. With water filtration stations and their staff being targeted, or water pipes having being damaged, the difficulties in acquiring running water is a major challenge, especially for the elderly.
