Over the last few days, we’ve seen a slight decrease in Russia-led forces attacks and the use of heavy weapons. Total of 50 firing attacks launched. This led to the wounding of 1 Ukrainian soldier. Unfortunately an accident lead the death of two soldiers.
I’ve just checked today’s military report. From 7am this morning, Russia’s forces launched another 12 attacks, with no Ukrainian losses reported.
Meanwhile, while Russian bullets are flying around eastern Ukraine, Russia’s joke shop propaganda keeps on churning out the fake news. Keen to link Ukraine with events in Syria, we have 50 Arab snipers helping the Ukrainian army.
Fort Russ News (FRN) is based in Belgrade in Serbia. Laughably claims to be “100% independent”, yet spends much of its time reporting anti Ukraine stuff. As I’ve said before, there’s a routine to this type of propaganda. First someone somewhere, reports something, in this case via the so-called military spokesman in Russia occupied Ukraine. Then, FRN & others write it up on their websites/blogs. thereby allowing Russia’s state media, trolls and propagandists to better push the original fake news story.
Typically with the need to make things sound authentic, there’s lots of specific detail.
The number of snipers.
The location in Ukraine where they are based.
People saying they heard them speaking Arabic.
A supposed link with Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Ukrainian units they operate with…
Despite this mass of military intelligence, what we don’t ever get is one single scrap of genuine proof. That’s beyond the routine use of old unrelated pictures, or in this case a photo montage showing snipers wearing hot climate camouflage. With that in mind, if there’s any Russians out there wondering why the pension claim age is going up, it’s because the Kremlin is spending tax payers money on clowns like Joaquin Flores to promote this utter garbage.
