Thus far into 2019, Russia’s forces are keeping their firing to an average of 4 attacks every 24hrs. Thankfully, they have also reduced their use of heavy weapons, such as mortars and artillery. This means there is still a whole lot of bullets and grenades flying around, but less heavy stuff which causes the majority of casualties to both soldiers and civilians, as well as damage to properties. During the last 3 days, 1 Ukrainian soldier has been reported wounded.
With today being Christmas eve in Ukraine, let us all keep the festive faith and hope the ceasefire holds a little longer. Header pic shows Ukrainian soldiers giving a Christmas message of hope. “The Bethlehem star announced its glow for the birth of the Son of God, gave mankind hope for victory of good over evil, for truth over injustice.”
