Handy Man Humanitarian Aid

In times of war, sometimes a little aid can go a long way to helping those most in need.
With many younger and able people having left due to the fighting, the villages and hamlets scattered along the front line are often devoid of those capable of repairing houses damaged by shell fire, or carrying out general maintenance.

With the elderly making up the bulk of those left living in remote villages, this lack of local assistance hits them the hardest. Here the Ukrainian delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have helped alleviate the problem in one such village.

Local man Serhiy has been kitted out with the tools he needs to help his local community fix their houses. Pictures and info tweeted today.
