The village of Pisky used to be home to around 2,000 people. Now, all but a handful risk calling it a home. During their relentless 2014/15 efforts to capture the nearby Donetsk city airport, Russian forces turned the Ukrainian held village into a living hell. To give you a feel for the World War One style devastation and the mental and physical pain inflicted upon its inhabitants, here’s my second Pisky video.
