Always nice to see Ukrainian soldiers getting the recognition they deserve.
Illustrating the perils of using Google search (and being a Muppet), on Thursday March 8th – On International Women’s Day, Denis Pushilin Twitter account said he’d met with – women soldiers and thanked them…
Only major flaw to this tribute to “working women” is the pictures from 2007 and shows female Ukrainian army paratroopers. Back then, the women in the photo were taking part in military drills near the city of Gytomyr (Zhytomyr), about 150km from Kyiv. Compounding the propaganda mistake, the Getty image even references International Women’s Day.
Inside occupied Ukraine, Pushilin is the Kremlin’s latest puppet leader of the so-called Donetsk people’s republic. Maybe he didn’t bother to thank any working women?
