Easter Sunday on Europe’s Front Line

Christ has risen.
On Easter Sunday, April 19th, while dodging Russian shells and bullets, Ukrainian soldiers managed to find time to celebrate Easter. Military priests held mass on the front line and soldiers indulged in the welcome task of scoffing a few traditional Easter cakes and eggs.

Thankfully on the day, there were no reported military casualties. Note to combat the coronavirus, soldiers and priests are all wearing masks. Hard enough fighting a war with Russia, without the added strain of an unseen virus adversary potentially lurking within your trenches. Ukrainian military link to more pics and article.
