I Came. I Saw. I Got Flattened in Ukraine

Julius Caesar famously once said veni, vidi, vici – “I came, I saw, I conquered.”
Meanwhile in Ukraine, Russia’s invasion forces aren’t doing much in the way of conquering & continue to find conditions somewhat challenging. This Tigr-M armoured multipurpose vehicle looks like a passing herd of elephants sat on it 😊.

The above picture is from recent fighting in the Zaporizhzhia region of southern Ukraine. Today in this area, it’s reported Ukrainian forces liberated several villages – see below map. This is good news, as the villages are near the Donetsk regional border. These continued gains will start to make Russian forces on the Azov Sea south coast and those fighting on the western side of Mariupol city nervous. It’s thought Russia’s planning to launch a new offensive in eastern Ukraine and the Donbas region, hence Ukrainian forces are trying to liberate territory, thereby strengthening their potential to resist any renewed attacks.
